Ali over at Gamerhold linked me to a tournament that happened earlier this month in Australia. It was Round 6 of the Couch Warriors tournament series.
This was an entertaining battle, with Cammy user Naruga taking home the title, beating Toxy, 2-0 in the title match to win it all undefeated. Despite the result, Toxy leads in the standings by 14 points over Naruga.
Most international tournaments bring down the overall averages. This one didn't. I'm not sure how to interpret it at the moment, other than to say that these guys must play the same way that a lot of the players in the United States do.
The one thing that caught my eye was that five of the eight players all had first-hit win percentages above the median curve (.587). However, when it came to EX connection averages, the bottom players actually did better than the top of the heap. Sol T led the way with a .471 average. Looking at everyone's usage, there were barely any leftovers for the fridge.
There's plenty of pictures and video of the tournament over at Gamerhold, so be sure to check it out.
Here's a guide to the statistics.
