Seth Killian at Capcom said the crew at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco will stream some Street Fighter action tonight at 6:30 p.m. PT.
He made his second reference today to "oiling up" so perhaps someone tonight will officially say or show that Hakan is in Super Street Fighter IV. (UPDATE: I struck this out because Hakan footage has been revealed)
More info on the Capcom Unity blog:
Although it's going down in an undisclosed location, we're going to try and stream out some of the action on our ustream channel starting around 6:30pm PST.
They won't let us take direct feed of the action, but there should be some good shots of the room with a few famous Street Fighters and games-industry neer-do-wells cruising around, and I'll try to bust a few shoryuken FADC -> Ultra on the iphone. Plus who knows could slip on there--anything can happen live... |

More iPhone goodness is coming. According to a report from Pocket Gamer, Tekken 6 will be on the iPhone and iPod Touch.
A source had told the Web site the game is in deep development stages and is "looking good."
There was no word of a release date. There had been talk Namco was going to showcase the game at the Game Developers Conference, but Namco shot down that speculation.
"We are NOT showing anything at GDC with regards to Tekken. We will be previewing new stuff, but it will NOT involve the Tekken brand whatsoever." Emphasis is theirs.
The company didn't confirm or deny the game's existence, just that it has no plans to show Tekken next week. |

Tekken 6 made the cut onto the World Cyber Games roster for its 2010 tournament series.
The WCG made the announcement Sunday evening. Tekken 6 is the only fighting game on the roster so far. It will be played on the Xbox 360. It will be a 1-on-1 tournament, according to the tournament Web site.
A year ago, the WCG only had one fighting game, Virtua Fighter 5. Months ago, the organization asked fans and followers to submit their suggestions for what games should be on this year's list of competitive games.
There's no word from the league whether they're pursuing Street Fighter IV or any other fighting game.
The full list of games announced so far:
- Warcraft 3
- Counter-Strike
- Trackmania Nations Forever
- Carom 3D
- Guitar Hero 5
- Tekken 6
- Forza Motorsport 3
Here's part of the announcement from the WCG:
New York, NY – Mar.8, 2010 – World Cyber Games Inc. (WCG), organizer of the premier international video game competition and festival, today announced the first official game titles for the WCG 2010 Grand Final in Los Angeles this fall. The list features PC and Xbox 360 titles that comprise some of the most popular competitive games available around the world today.
WCG announced total of 7 official game titles and 1 promotional game title this time. In this year's line-up, not only traditionally popular titles such as Warcraft3, Counter-Strike, and Guitar Hero, world famous racing game Forza Motorsport 3 and fighting game Tekken 6 is included.
The WCG Grand Final is scheduled to take place Sept. 28 through Oct. 3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The announcement comes days after MLG announced it will have Tekken 6 in its lineup and was actively pursuing to get Street Fighter IV on its own list of 2010 games. |

The LA Riots III tournament was to take place later today in Los Angeles, and unfortunately, it's not going to happen.
Last night, Gootecks posted a statement on his site, saying the event is indefinitely postponed. Here's a portion of the statement.
I’m not one to do things just for the sake of doing them and have considered other venues, but I feel it’s better to not make any hasty decisions and just wait and see how things out. Just like when someone lands an Ultra on you and you’re close to death, you don’t mash Uppercut on wakeup just because they’re close to you. |

LOS ANGELES - The LA Riots III tournament has been postponed indefinitely. The word came from Gootecks earlier tonight, who said a situation that came up at the last moment that they had no control over.
The tournament was supposed to take place Saturday at 1 p.m. and be shown at TheStream.tv studios on the Miracle Mile.
Gootecks said he'll make an official announcement sometime in the next 24 hours.
UPDATE: Brian Gramo at TheStream.tv made an announcement earlier tonight that TheStream.tv will be shutting down production, thus the reason for the postponement of the tournament.
LG15 has more from their site:
Evo energy drink had been sponsoring the network; however, the company decided to end its sponsorship prompting Gramo to layoff the Stream’s employees and shut down production. Gramo intends to marshal the existing resources and any future donations towards revamping the Stream’s studio. The plan is to equip the studio with professional grad equipment then rent it out during the day as a way of supporting the Stream’s nighttime slate of original programming. |

In an upcoming Gamertag Radio podcast, Capcom's Seth Killian is asked about the status of Hakan, the new character in Super Street Fighter IV that hasn't been announced yet; therefore, since it's still not confirmed then it's not really official.
"You're going to see some more information about our final character before long," Seth told the guys at Gamertag Radio.
You can listen to the preview of the podcast here. |

Check out the great interview the guys a Hadoken.net have right now. They talk to Capcom's Seth Killian about Super Street Fighter IV.
Seth addresses a lot of topics about the game, including balance issues, character development and some game secrets (you'll want to keep your copy of Street Fighter IV).
And if you're wondering about Sagat being more annoying, here's Seth's take ...
Sagat is still powerful—his techniques all still work, but I would say he’s going to face a lot of stiff competition from the returning cast and the newcomers. While he has more options in Super SFIV than he did in Super, he also has more tough matchups, and his ability for massive comebacks isn’t as strong. In SFIV, he could be essentially dominated for the entire match, and then make a huge comeback from one hit or even a trade. In Super SFIV, he’ll need to play well the entire match to win consistently.
Go to the interview. |

There will be tournaments for Street Fighter IV, Tekken 6 and BlazBlue Continum Shift. Each event is $5 to enter. There's a $5 entry fee as well.
In addition, the Tournament Wars season finale is scheduled to take place with the following matches:
