It didn't matter because Gamerbee still won. Officially the score was 10-6; Gamerbee gave up just three games. It took him four games to match the score, and then it snowballed from there. Gamerbee's biggest winning streak was six games. During that time, his first-hit win percentage was .750 (3 for 4), while LSY was .200 (2 for 10).
Although he made his advantages stick out during the streak, three of the six games at that time were taken to a third round.
Stats of the match will be posted later today.
UPDATE: Stats of the match are posted on the Fighting Game Stats database. Here's some extra numbers that stood out:
- LSY somehow had one more combo than Gamerbee, but looking at the splits, Gamerbee outcomboed LSY 53-37 in rounds he won. On the other hand, LSY outcomboed Gamerbee 30-13 in rounds he won.
- Although it was a rout, seven of the 13 games went to a third round.
- There were only three comebacks, which means these guys' defense held up when they had a late lead. Combined, their closeout percentage was .909. Never have I seen a high closeout percentage between international players, especially in an extended series that could have went as many as 16 games.
