EA Sports put out this video this morning highlighting the changes that are set to come in Madden 12. Looks like the game is supposed to be more fluid and less canned in terms of animations, at least that's how I'm interpreting it.

There's been a lot of talk about how this year's Madden will have a lot of pre-game presentation mixed in with the actual action. The developers released a video this morning showing those pre-game festivities. The one thing I take out of this video is the possibility of late-game shadows probably affecting some of the open-air stadiums. If that happens, that would be an awesome dynamic added to the game.
This video also highlights this year's tagline, which is "True to the Game."

While executive producer Phil Frazier talks about what's going to be in Madden 12, some people are playing it in the background of this video. Not much can be taken from it other than the in-game scoreboard is now on the top of the screen, and it resembles the NFL on CBS graphic. Not sure if any of the players playing the game used audibles because of the shaky camera.

Throughout the past two months, EA Sports has posted new plays that will be in Madden 12, part of it's "25 New Plays" campaign. This morning, they posted their 25th play, which is the Nickel 1-5-5- Double Loop, a defensive blitz.
All 25 plays can be seen on the Madden facebook page.
Here's more from EA Sports:
Nickel 1-5-5 Prowl Dbl Loop – In third down passing situations it’s not all that unusual to see an NFL defense align in some form of exotic defensive look. Defensive coordinators use these types of looks in order to confuse the quarterback as well as the offensive line. Nickel 1-5-5 Prowl Dbl Loop is a play that fits that description. Each player in the defensive front uses pre-snap movement to a different position in order to carry out their pass rush assignments.no comments
Much like the first teaser video for Madden 12, this one doesn't go into a lot of detail. So we'll have to wait until Thursday to figure out the specific details.

Last night, Gamerbee took on LSY in a 19-game series broadcast by TWFighter. There was a catch: Gamerbee would start the match down 3-0. So yes, while Gamerbee had to still win 10 games, LSY needed to win just seven.
It didn't matter because Gamerbee still won. Officially the score was 10-6; Gamerbee gave up just three games. It took him four games to match the score, and then it snowballed from there. Gamerbee's biggest winning streak was six games. During that time, his first-hit win percentage was .750 (3 for 4), while LSY was .200 (2 for 10).
Although he made his advantages stick out during the streak, three of the six games at that time were taken to a third round.
Stats of the match will be posted later today.
UPDATE: Stats of the match are posted on the Fighting Game Stats database. Here's some extra numbers that stood out:

UPDATE: Stats of the match are posted on the Fighting Game Stats database. Here's some extra numbers that stood out:
- LSY somehow had one more combo than Gamerbee, but looking at the splits, Gamerbee outcomboed LSY 53-37 in rounds he won. On the other hand, LSY outcomboed Gamerbee 30-13 in rounds he won.
- Although it was a rout, seven of the 13 games went to a third round.
- There were only three comebacks, which means these guys' defense held up when they had a late lead. Combined, their closeout percentage was .909. Never have I seen a high closeout percentage between international players, especially in an extended series that could have went as many as 16 games.

There have been comebacks in Madden, but nothing like what happened in Harrisburg, Penn., on Saturday. This has to rank up there among the biggest.
Patrick "Kornstar" Shaw is using the Oakland Raiders up 21-17 on "BroNamath" at the start of the fourth quarter late in the tournament. He has the ball, and with the Oakland Raiders' running game, this is usually a lock, because you can run up the middle for short yardage with great success. However, he lost Darren McFadden in the first quarter.
BroNamath played enough defense and ... hit the video to see the whole thing.

From Capcom at its Captivate event, here is the cinematic trailer for Street Fighter x Tekken. There are a couple things to take out of this. The first is that obviously we'll have Ken, Ryu, Kazuya and Nina on this roster (both Namco and Capcom producers have said the rosters will be different for both games in this series). For those that are into storylines, doesn't it seem like the Tekken players will be the bad guys in this game? I wonder if that will be the opposite for the other game.
