Taj is well known as the best Mewtwo player in the nation even though he is versatile in a lot of other characters. The Arizona player took his skills to Genesis 2 where he stunned the field and finished third, losing to finalists Mango and Armada in the tournament.

I talked to him about his tournament run and his matches against the two finalists. Enjoy the podcast below.

ANTIOCH — It was fun to watch the crew battles at Genesis 2. Both the Brawl and Melee battles (East Coast vs. West Coast) came down to the final players for each team. Instead of trying to take a picture of the final moment, I decided to do video showing the players and the audience.

Hopefully there's more excitement today, as the titles are decided in teams and singles.

There's a lot of wholesome goodness on Fuddulous' YouTube portal, and it includes the Super Battle Opera qualifying tournament for Super Turbo. He posted a ton of matches from the event, including all three championship matches.

I'll post the finals of the first tournament, featuring a T-Hawk-using Damdai going up against Immortal.

X-Mania was earlier this month but unlike past editions, this year's event was in Toulouse, France (the fourth-largest city in that country).

Here's the finals of the singles tournament, Kurahashi vs. Kusumodo. It's a Ryu vs. Honda matchup.

There's more videos of the tournament located on the jqalp YouTube portal.

I had the opportunity to record a few preliminary matches of the Mortal Kombat 9 tournament at NorCal Regionals, and the matches I captured were very exciting. This includes a match where Justin Wong was pushed to the limits against MK Veteran JJ. More matches are posted on the YouTube portal.

Here's the finals of the Tekken 6 tournament at NorCal Regionals 9. It was Bronson "Insanelee" Tran vs. Jimmy "Mr. Naps" Tran. More videos are on our YouTube portal.

I also want to thank Subt-L and the tournament organizers for letting me record this and other matches.

Fuddulous has posted a ton of Super Turbo action at NorCal Regionals 9. The title match was Alex Valle vs Daigo Umehara and it is entertaining (it always is, I just had to make note here). If you want to see some of the action, head to his YouTube portal.

For the next couple of days, I'm going to be bring you a lot of stats from the tournament championships at ReveLAtions and CEO 2011. Today's Stats Series podcast focuses on the Super Street Fighter IV tournaments at both events.

At CEO 2011, there was a big statistical anomaly, and it involved the first-hit win percentage in the top four. For ReveLAtions, Daigo Umehara dominated Mago in one category.

And yes, I rant about what was most important in the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 title match at CEO 2011. I'm sure I'm wrong, so go ahead and tell me in the comments.

Also, if you want to check out the SSF4 stats from the two tournaments, they're available on the Fighting Game Stats database.

Today's podcast is below.
