Team Spooky has posted a load of videos from this past weekend's GVN Summer Jam tournament. There's a lot of videos here, including the coin-flip tournament.
Here's the links to the Super Street Fighter IV and HD Remix tournaments
Here's video of the finals of the Super Battle Opera qualifying tournament for Street Fighter IV. Team Evil Geniuses went up against Team We're Going to Japan. Yes, this is Street Fighter IV since Super Battle Opera will be using the arcade version of the series in the main event next month in Tokyo.
The latest episode of Cross Counter deals with a Cody vs. Claw matchup. Hit up the video and listen to what Mike Ross and Ryan "Gootecks" Gutierrez have to say as they watch two players go at it.
This past weekend, AlphaISM Radio had its latest radio show, and they took time to break down Isaiah "Triforce" Johnson's comments which he said a few days earlier. The hosts, in the 4-hour show, took exception to the quote that Empire Arcadia "made" Justin Wong, a former member.
Martin "Marn" Phan also was on the show and mentioned a brief story regarding him and Triforce regarding how he left Empire Arcadia.
Machinima has posted video of the tournament it hosted a few days ago at South's in Santa Monica. Almost every big name was in this tournament, so if you're wondering who will likely stand out in the Madden 11 scene, check out the video.
The people at Round1.sg have videos of Singapore's Super Battle Opera qualifying tournament for Street Fighter IV. You can check out all of the matches above in the playlist. I won't spoil it, but if you want to know who is representing that country in SBO later this year, check out the story on Round1.sg's page.
Keep in mind that this is Street Fighter IV, because Super Battle Opera uses arcade games. Stateside, the U.S. qualifying tournament for Street Fighter IV will be next weekend in San Mateo.
Ricky Ortiz, about a month removed from his second-place finish at the Evolution 2010 Super Street Fighter IV tournament, won the Shadowbrooke Games tournament on Sunday evening.
Ortiz and Wu were two of the eight players that reached Championship Sunday at Evolution; they did not meet up then. They met in the winners bracket, with Ricky Ortiz winning (thanks to langdon for correcting me on the error).
Ortiz had an EX connection percentage of .696, and won all five times in which he got the first combo.
A few days ago, at San Diego Comic-Con, Mark Julio of MadCatz spent a few minutes with Katsuhiro Harada and Michael Murray of Namco talking about Street Fighter x Tekken.
You'll get a chance to hear thoughts from Harada-San about the styles and what the developers are expecting. Harada-San says a lot of people are wondering how the Street Fighter characters will play in Namco's version, Tekken x Street Fighter.
