Multiple seasons of 11 losses. Few appearances on national night games. Many coaching changes. A beatdown on Sunday. And yet, if you played only Madden and never followed the NFL, you'd think the Oakland Raiders were one of the best teams each year for the past few years.
The Raiders in Madden 11 are right up there with the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots and San Diego Chargers in terms of being top tier over the past few years. Those three teams made the playoffs. The Raiders haven't since they were destroyed in Super Bowl XXXVII.
Even with roster updates and tweaks, the Raiders still fare best than half the teams in the past few Madden games.
The guys at Ask Madden try to explain why the Raiders are the best. Dan "The Truth" Brown takes part in this money match and talks about the little things that makes the Raiders better than what they are in real life.

When is getting 190 yards more than your opponent not enough? There are days in Madden where stat monsters rise to the occasion, and yet they still can't find a way to break free against their opponent. What should be a blowout or a definitive win ends up being a close win or even a loss.
Friday night, Jeter and Koachk competed in their latest Compete4Ever league match. Jeter went with the reformed Cincinnati Bengals, while Koachk used the Carolina Panthers. Jeter, as expected, turned to his passing game to break past Koachk's defense. Koachk decided to utilize the running game.
The game stayed close despite one of the two guys accumulating 300 offensive yards.
The first of three parts of the match is below ...
The final two parts follow the jump ...

His opponent in this video had a bad case of fumblitis, and Prodigy took clear advantage.

The latest AfroDojo tourney, a few days ago in the Pacific Northwest, featured a finals between Jason Cole and Riki Oh. There weren't too many comebacks this time around for Cole, who was coming out of the losers bracket. In fact, in the title matches, he only had two comebacks.
But it's not the per-round comebacks that stunned the field this time around. It looked like Riki Oh was going to lock things up at this tournament. Below is the first championship match.
Hit the jump for the second championship match.

According to a Madden 11 simulation of the 2010 NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens and Green Bay Packers will end up at the top of their conferences.
EA Sports did a simulation of the entire season but did not do the postseason. On the company blog, there's plenty of stats of how the sim went. Perhaps most amazing is that Oakland's Nnamdi Asomugha didn't get in the top 10 in interceptions. Also, Stephen Jackson of St. Louis had monster numbers on a team that went 1-15 last season.
Green Bay not only got the top seed in the NFC but some hardware.
Behind the arm of QB Aaron Rodgers (named MVP and Offensive Player of the Year), the road to Super Bowl XLV in the NFC will go through Lambeau Field as the Packers finished with a 12-4 record, while Baltimore relied on the exceptional play of OLB Terrell Suggs (named Defensive Player of the Year) to secure home-field advantage in the AFC. The Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts both posted NFL-best records of 13-3, with the Ravens securing home-field advantage due to a better divisional record.
New England, Indianapolis and San Diego won their divisions in 2010, while the upstart New York Jets secured a Wild Card berth in the AFC. After years of being tapped as the next up and coming team, the Houston Texans made the playoffs as a Wild Card team with a 9-7 record, grabbing the sixth seed in the AFC.
The Minnesota Vikings tied for the best record in the NFC with Green Bay at 12-4, but due to the Packers' better divisional record, settled for the fifth seed in the playoffs as a Wild Card team. After seven years without a playoff appearance, the San Francisco 49ers joined the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints as division winners in the NFC, while the Atlanta Falcons secured the final Wild Card spot in the conference.

It will be the most unclutch match so far in the Madden 11 season, or one of the more exciting contests out there. Koachk and KeeganBrick competed in a Compete4Ever league match this past weekend. Koachk recently took a bad beating in league play and was trying to bounce back.
The game was back and forth and went into overtime. The first part of the match is below.
