Ryan "Filipino Champ" Ramirez won the Super Street Fighter IV tournament at Southern California Regionals on Sunday in Los Angeles, beating Daigo Umehara, 3-2 in the second finals match.

Filipino Champ lost the first finals, 3-1 before taking it home. He was the only player in the tournament to beat Daigo; his first win came during the semifinals.

Combined both finals matches, and Daigo actually won more rounds, 12-10. They also won the same amount of rounds in the second finals -- six each. Daigo was more aggressive, posting a .750 first-hit win percentage and .571 first-comb win percentage; Filipino Champ was at .471 and .333 in both categories, respectively.

Filipino Champ had a slightly better winning percentage in closeout games. Filipino Champ's winning percentage when on game point was .571, Daigo was only at .500.
