The beauty of sports is that it's unscripted. Amazing things can happen at any time during a event. Think about baseball this year. It's widely considered the Year of the Pitcher, with a combination of five no-hitters and perfect games, and two others being so close to being on that list. At any moment, you can witness history.

And on that same level, upsets can happen and surprises bloom.

After Sunday's Apex 2010 finale, one thing stood out to me: what is the bigger surprise exit of this year? There's two obvious choices.

The first is Justin Wong, who didn't make Championship Sunday at Evolution 2010. I'm fairly sure he was on a lot of people's lists to at least finish in the top three, if not play for the title.

The other is Joseph "Mango" Marquez, who was nowhere near the top eight at Apex 2010's Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament -- 25th place. Mango is the standard in the United States, having dominated for the past three years.

Justin played on a bigger stage, with a bigger audience and bigger stakes. He took Daigo Umehara to the brink in an exhibition. In the time before Evolution, he lost less than 10 games after he moved to the West Coast.

Mango was expected by 99.999 percent of the community to get to the finals and possibly win it. A lot of people on the chat were talking about possibly seeing Armada vs. Mango, the runback from Genesis 2009. And Mango was taken out early by two guys not expected to contend for the title.

So what do you think was the bigger surprise exit? Or is there a bigger one out there other than these two?
