It's Wednesday, meaning that the Starbase, Guard Crush and Wednesday Night Fights series resume.

I wanted to post a quick note regarding the last five finals for Starbase and Guard Crush. Are there noticeable differences between the East Coast and West Coast events?

Starbase Arcade

• First-hit wins: 40/73 (.548)
• First-combo wins: 35/64 (.547)
• Combo rate: 1.716
• EXC: .346
• Closeout rate: .761

Guard Crush

• First-hit wins: 34/60 (.567)
• First-combo wins: 29/52 (.558)
• Combo rate: 1.636
• EXC: .398
• Closeout rate: .873

On the surface, both tournament series have been the same recently except when it comes to closing out contests. Perhaps that's why there's been more finals resets at Starbase.
