Madden stats czar Donny Moore announced Tuesday morning if Brett Favre does not play and is taken out of Madden 11, the Vikings' team rating goes from 88 to 85.
Brett Favre has a 92 overall rating but with 60 speed. Compare that to his replacement, Tavaris Jackson, who has a 71 overall rating but with 83 speed and 85 agility. If speed is key this year, then will players miss Favre that much?
UPDATE: Moore said Favre was taken out of the game's database.
I thought Minnesota was going to be a sleeper team this year, as it was the past two years. They won't be a killer team like Dallas and New Orleans are expected to be, but they'll be pests. Yeah, Adrian Peterson fumbles a little more than he should, but he's still a great running back and that's key to this team.
Regarding Favre, I think this video might actually come true, which tells you my thoughts on whether he'll retire before the season starts.
