The Chicago Chimera and 3D New York each won their first “Counter-Strike Source” match Sunday night in the CEVO open tournament.

In divisional play, the Chimera (1-0) defeated the Keyboard Smashers in a best-of-three contest, 2-0. The capper was a 13-9 victory.

Brian “DKT” Flander, the general manager for Chicago, took part in the match in the place of Albert Hahn.

Keyboard Smashers fell to 1-1 in divisional play.

Meanwhile, Team 3D beat vINdictive in a best-of-three contest, 2-0. Team 3D survived an overtime contest on de_inferno, 18-16 to start the match.

A 5-0 run on de_dust2 in the second game helped seal a 13-7 win for 3D and the match.

The Chimera and Team 3D are two of the five Championship Gaming Series-based teams competing in the 25-team tournament.

Divisional play continues today and concludes Tuesday.
